Designed particularly for seniors, individuals with limited mobility, or those seeking gentle exercise alternatives, the OVER 50 workout incorporates fundamental Tai Chi techniques and invigorating qigong exercises for a relaxing full-body workout experience. Regardless of your Tai Chi proficiency, these exercises offer a harmonious blend of relaxation and comprehensive physical activity, promoting stress reduction, reinforced immunity, and heightened body-mind coordination awareness.

Tai Chi, also known as Taiji or Tai Chi Chuan/Taijiquan in full, translates to “Grand Ultimate Fist” from Chinese. Originating from the Chen family, Daoists at Wudang mountain, and eventually the Shaolin Temple, Tai Chi serves as an internal-style Chinese martial art. When performed at a slow pace for health benefits, Tai Chi represents a form of Qigong.

Qi-Gong, signifying “energy-work,” refers to the ancient discipline of enhancing the body’s Qi (energy) levels and circulating it throughout to promote revitalization and well-being. Some Qigong practices involve stationary or moving meditation techniques. By increasing energy levels within the body and refining energy circulation along meridians, Qigong can be likened to “acupuncture without needles” and offers profound health advantages such as stress reduction, heightened energy levels, improved healing processes, and an overall enhanced quality of life.

Similar to yoga, Qigong employs low-impact movements to deeply stimulate the entire body and foster a stronger mind-body connection.
