Tai Chi, also known as Taiji or Tai Chi Chuan/Taijiquan in full, translates to “Grand Ultimate Fist” from Chinese. Originating from the Chen family, Daoists at Wudang mountain, and eventually the Shaolin Temple, Tai Chi serves as an internal-style Chinese martial art. When performed at a slow pace for health benefits, Tai Chi represents a form of Qigong.
